Privacy notice

How ADRIG Certification collects, uses and retains personal data in the course of accrediting training providers and maintaining the public register.

Who we are

ADRIG Certification is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. Our office is at 1 Example Plaza, Suite 000, New York, NY 10000, United States. Data protection enquiries should be sent to registrar@adrigcertification.org.

What we collect and why

We collect only what is necessary to assess a course, maintain the register and answer correspondence.

  • Partner account holders: name, work email, telephone, organisation and role. Used to administer the account and to communicate assessment decisions.
  • Named trainers: name, work email, qualifications, years of practice, biography and a photograph. Used to assess occupational competence, and published on the register so that employers can see who taught an accredited course.
  • Correspondents: name, email, organisation and the content of your enquiry. Used to answer and to keep a record of correspondence.
  • Verification users: we log the certificate number queried and the time of the query. We do not log who performed the search, and no account is required.

What we do not collect

ADRIG holds no learner records. We do not know who attended an accredited course, and the register cannot be used to look up an individual learner. Verification confirms the accreditation of a course, not the achievement of a person.

Lawful basis

We process partner and trainer data on the basis of legitimate interests — operating an accreditation scheme and publishing a register that employers and learners can rely on. Named trainers are informed by the partner at the point of submission that their details will be published. Where you contact us, we process your data to respond to your enquiry.

Publication on the register

The following is published: course title, level, category, duration, curriculum module titles and hours, assessment method, the accredited provider, the named trainer and their qualifications, the delivery venue and city, the certificate number, and the issue, expiry and status of the certificate. Contact email addresses and telephone numbers are never published.

Retention

Accreditation records, including withdrawn and expired certificates, are retained permanently as part of the public register — a register that deleted its own history would not be worth checking. Partner account records are retained for six years after the account closes. Correspondence is retained for three years. Verification logs are retained in aggregate and pruned to the most recent 5,000 entries.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, and in certain circumstances to object to processing or request erasure. Requests to remove a named trainer from a published register entry are considered against our obligation to maintain an accurate accreditation record; where removal is not possible we will explain why. Write to us at the address above; we respond within one month.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie, and only when you sign in to the partner portal or the staff panel: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary, expires after eight hours, and is deleted when you sign out. We run no advertising or third-party analytics cookies, so there is nothing here for you to consent to.
